WINSTON GIVING UP?

Winston appears to be giving up according to Radio NZ

New Zealand First leader Winston Peters appears to be cutting his losses in the battle for the Tauranga seat.

Despite planning to spend the rest of his campaign in the city, he has suddenly flown to Wellington to join his MP, Ron Mark, who is campaigning for the Rimutaka seat.

Radio New Zealand's political reporter in Tauranga says no clear reason was given.

Mr Peters was due to spend rest of the week in Tauranga, where he has been fighting to regain the seat he lost in 2005 to Bob Clarkson.

He needs to win it to secure New Zealand First's political survival, unless the party can make it over the 5% threshold in the party vote.

Bloody hell... anyone ask Ron Mark how he feels about his campaign being screwed over by the appearance of this jerk?

Oh sorry, forgot, Winston First, no need to ask anyone.

Seriously though, poor Ron Mark!

Spare your sympathy for somebody who deserves it. I am constantly amazed at the number of people who claim Ron "fingers" mark is the acceptable face of Winston First.
HE IS NOT, simply put his behaviour has seemed mild only because the twat sat in front of him is worse.

Dont worry BB I have no sympathy for Mark, it was all very tounge in cheek, young Ronnie has been dancing with the Devil way too long to be considered clean and I will lose no sleep over his instant dismissal Saturday night.

No secret as to why he left Tauranga. Noone wants to talk to him. Yesterday when in Greerton trying to upstage Key he was left with standing in front of the $ shop and its ATM. the only persons he could find to talk to were Nat supporters and Larry Baldock along with two TV camera's and a couple of reporters.
Not much to stroke the ego there.

Oh good - all my best fantasies coming true.

Winston First gone and irrelevant.

how realistic are Ron Mark's chances in Rimutaka?

Obviously smaller now Winston has turned up on the scene, but generally? I understand the Labour candidate is relatively weak.

Good question. I haven't seen or heard of any internal polling info - I wonder if anyone is even looking?
